Associate Provost for Information Technology
Farokh Eslahi, Director of Educational Technology, will be appointed Associate Provost for Information Technology, effective January 1, 2006, pending board approval. In that capacity, Mr. Eslahi will serve as UIS' chief information officer and will oversee the planning, management, and direction of technology initiatives in support of both academic and administrative operations. He will work with the university community as a whole and, specifically, with technology-focused units to develop a coordinated vision for the role of information technologies in support of the UIS mission, vision, and strategic plan.
