MOOCs: Been There, Done That
"The same kind of hubris that led to overblown predictions for AI is the driving force behind MOOCs. The techniques MOOCs employ simply don't scale. They are effective for a relatively small and selective audience, mostly the same folks who are able to learn independently from books alone."
