Northwest Pipeline to Silicon Valley

The university's computer science department has become a feeder system of sorts for big technology companies, with some 35 percent of graduates ending up at Amazon, Google, or Microsoft in a typical year. However, the university turned away about three-quarters of all students who apply to major in computer science because it doesn't have the faculty to educate them.
